My CA125s went up 8 points to 31. I went to the doctor and he sent me for a CT Scan. Got the results today. I’ve got what appears to be a “functional” ovarian cyst on my right ovary. I have to wait until Monday to talk to my doctor about next steps if any. I wouldn’t be so worried but my whole ordeal started with what appeared to be an Ovarian Cyst.

It is annoying but I have to manage through my anxiety.

The good news is that I took the whole day off today after my CT Scan. I watched a movie and just relaxed. I needed it too… Between the stress of this week and the fact that I started my strength and endurance class at the rock gym last night, I was tired.

Next weekend is the Roller Derby. I’ve posted the press release in the community blog. I’ve gotten some calls from local papers too. We are pretty excited to have the Roller Derby donate to us. They are hugely popular believe it or not.

Does anyone know how I can change this profile shot of me? I hate it.

eeekk! Keep us posted on what the doctors say on Monday. One of these days you need to come out and do some climing in Colorado and Utah!

Oh my, everyone’s tumor markers are jumping unexpectedly. Please do keep us posted. You are in my prayers :)

Ask your doctor if they used a series 1 or series 2 test. My onc said they recently changed to series 2, so everyone’s ca-125 would go up. I guess the 2nd series is more accurate day to day, but shows a higher number.

I started off sort of the same with “cysts” that turned out to be nasty cancerous tumors. Please be aggressive in having your cyst looked at! Even my gyn-onc thought my “cysts” were benign after a ct scan. I hope I don’t sound pushy…just want us all to meet some day for a margarita and laugh about chemo, baldness, and how we kicked cancer’s ass.
